Consequently, the parents realized that something was wrong. In that instant the parents came back quickly to their home to see what was happening. Both of them ran as fast as possible to the cellar, but there was nobody. So, they went upstairs to their son’s bedroom.

To their surprise their daughter was laying on the floor in front of the door. Suddenly, the parents realized that their daughter was breathing.

A few weeks later, the parents went out to close the businesses that they had left open the day the blackout occurred, and as a result, the children stayed at home alone. They were really happy about that fantastic fact.

-Hi sweeties! How is it going? – asked the woman.

-Good morning grandma! What a surprise to see you here! We thought that you were in the village. – said Katie.

-Yes, but I moved here yesterday.

-So, we have a lot of plans to do here. Would you like to stay with us tonight? – asked the grandma softly.

-Yes, I don’t have anything interesting to do in this amazing town.

Suddenly, their parents phoned them.

-Hey loves! What’s up? – the mother said happily. 

-Nothing interesting, we are with grandma.

-What did you say? – the dad asked.

-We said that we are with  grandma, why are you so surprised?

-Your mother and I have lied to you. We didn’t go to close some businesses, the real reason that we have left you alone is that your grandma passed away last week, specifically the day that the blackout occurred, we were talking with the funerary services. 

-“…”

-Katie are you there?

-“…”

-Katie!!! – shouted the dad.
